A Love of Teaching

Each year as educators we see the need for continued summer learning and we are very excited to offer quality instruction to help combat summer learning loss and improve upon skills needed for the following school year.

In 2022, we made it our mission to understand best practice for teaching ALL students to read. We dug into a body of research called the Science of Reading and it forever changed the way we approach literacy with our students. We completed a program called LETRS: a 2 year program devoted to structured literacy. It is a continued, shared passion to support all students in being successful!

We deeply understand the respect and trust each parent gives us throughout the school year with each student’s education. Thank you for considering trusting us this summer!

  • Pick a job you love and it will never feel like work! I have been teaching in Boone County Schools for 12 years and am currently teaching at Thornwilde Elementary. I have a Rank 1 Certification with a master’s degree as a reading specialist and LETRS endorsement. Helping students to succeed and believe in themselves is a lifelong passion and goal.

My husband Jake and I love spending time with our three kids doing anything outdoors. Fishing, riding ATVS, sports, hiking, we are there!

I have been teaching in Boone County for 11 years. I have a Rank 1 through LETRS, reading endorsement, and Masters in Special Education. I believe that knowledge is power and through education all dreams are achievable.

I love to travel and live an active lifestyle. One dream of mine is to visit every continent and cross off as many countries as I can along the way.
